Spring 2021 Scholarship and IDEA Scholarship Round
AFP of Southern Arizona’s Spring Scholarship Round opened on April 1st!

AFP of Southern Arizona’s is now accepting applications for our spring round of scholarships!

Scholarships available include:

7 AFP Memberships and 1 CFRE Exam Available

  • 2 Regular Member ScholarshipsFull membership in the Association shall be open to individuals (a) who, among other responsibilities, hold some degree of accountability for income-generation within the fundraising process; (b) who must hold some degree of responsibility directly for fundraising; (c) who are compensated for their services; and (d) who subscribe to the AFP Code of Ethical Standardsand promote the Donor Bill of Rights.  Active members in good standing may vote, serve on chapter or Association committees and task forces, and hold Association or chapter office.
  • 2 Young Professional MembershipsOpen to persons who hold some degree of responsibility directly for fundraising, work within the U.S. and Canada and are compensated for their services, and are 30 years old or younger, must subscribe to the AFP Code of Ethical Standardsand promote the Donor Bill of Rights and be employed, or have been employed by an organization that provides benefits to society.
  • 3 IDEA Membership Scholarships – IDEA scholarships are reserved for persons from underrepresented communities, including black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) individuals, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and persons with disabilities. You do not need to be a fundraising professional to apply.
  • 1 CFRE ExamMust be active member of AFPSOAZ. The recipient must pass the exam within one year of notice of winning the scholarship. Recipient will not be reimbursed the cost of the exam until proof of passing CFRE exam is submitted to the Scholarship Chair.

Are you in need of more continuing education credits? Is your budget keeping you from taking a webinar? Each month, we will be awarding a member the opportunity to take a webinar or class up to $40. If you are interested, all you have to do is reach out to the Scholarship Chair – Alba Rojas-Sukkar, at alba.rojas-sukkar@usoncology.com with your name, organization, the name and cost of the webinar, and why you need a scholarship for it. At the end of every month, we will have a drawing and pick a winner! We encourage you to apply every month!
