Our meetings monthly meetings are a great way to make connections in the fundraising community and build your professional skills! Meetings are held on the second Friday of each month at the YWCA Southern Arizona, 525 Bonita Avenue. Check out our upcoming events and register online – we’d love to welcome you to our chapter! Nonmembers – $35.00 Zoom – $15.00. Fees may be slightly higher for special events. National Philanthropy Day is a special day set aside to recognize the great contributions of philanthropy – and those people active in the philanthropic community – to the enrichment of our lives, our community and our world. Though the primary goal of the event is to celebrate Tucson’s generous spirit, the National Philanthropy Day luncheon is the primary fundraiser for the Association of Fundraising Professionals Southern Arizona Chapter. Every three years, the AFP So AZ chapter hosts a state conference focusing on fundraising education and emerging issues facing the nonprofit sector. The core benefit of AFP’s International Conference on Fundraising (AFP ICON) is the extensive series of sessions presented by many of the best fundraising practitioners in the world. Presentations are geared to help you address skills and trends affecting fundraising in any economic climate. The breadth of topics and depth of knowledge at this event cannot be found anywhere other than at AFP ICON. Most courses count toward continuing education for your CFRE. Meetings start with networking and continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and move on to introductions and announcements at 9:00 a.m. Every meeting features an interactive presentation to provide education for the members and guests, and many of the presentations count toward CFRE credits. Meetings include a question and answer session with the presenter and end at 10:00 a.m.
