DESCRIPTION:Laura and Jenny bring their special blend of academic preparation and field experience to inspire and challenge fundraising professionals to dedicate themselves to both tried-and-true strategies and innovative new strategies to the most important fundraising goal: retention. \nGrounded in best practices and research in donor retention this workshop will engage participants in a fun and effective way to help you make a plan for building a program that retains donors year after year. \n  \n Laura Alexander\, MA\, CFRE and Jenny Carrillo\, MA\, CFRE\, are passionate about all things that help nonprofits and the people who run them “Do Good. But we continue to face challenges\, including funding dynamics\, bizsplaining\, and chairs held together with duct tape. What does the future of our sector look like? How do we own our awesomeness and unleash our full potential? Workshop: Equity\, Diversity\, and Inclusion in Everyday Practice – 9:15 am -11:15 am Our sector has been talking a lot about DEI. But what does it look like on the ground? In this interactive session\, we will explore what actions we can take in a host of areas—board development\, fundraising\, evaluation\, hiring\, communications\, etc.—in order to create a vibrant\, inclusive world. “When life itself seems lunatic\, who knows where madness lies?
