She is the Past President and long-time Board member (9 years) of the Association of Fundraising Professionals\, Southern Arizona Chapter\, which recognized her work in 2012 by naming her Outstanding Fundraising Professional of the Year. In 2014\, Laura completed the coursework necessary to receive the designation Master Trainer by the Association of Fundraising Professionals. In 2015\, Laura became a ©BoardSource Certified Governance Trainer (CGT). In 2020\, Laura became a member of the Sustained Collaboration Network. \nAs principal consultant and owner at Alexander|Carrillo Consulting\, Laura provides strategic planning and facilitation\, fund development and capital campaign counsel\, Board education and governance consulting\, strategic alliance facilitation\, and executive coaching for CEO’s and Development Directors. With her business partner Jenny Carrillo\, Laura has developed and provided hundreds of workshops and training sessions for executive director/CEOs\, fund development professionals\, and Board members.
